MDLinx Conference Coverage – May 2016

The MDLinx editors had a busy month in May, covering a total of 11 medical conferences with a focus on endocrinology, oncology, gastroenterology, psychiatry, obstetrics & gynecology, pulmonology, pain, urology, and ophthalmology. Here is a review of some of the highlights. The 41st Annual Congress of Oncology Nursing Society met in San Antonio, TX April 28–May 1. In one study, rolapitant (180 mg 1-2 h before chemotherapy), a neurokinin-1 receptor antagonist, was shown to reduce nausea in patients receiving cisplatin- and carboplatin-based chemotherapy, and thus improve quality of life.
